Last Day in New York City

On our last day in NYC we woke up early to wait in the line to see the Kelly show. We were standby and were worried we wouldn't make it into the show but we did! And we wore matching shirts... I am not quite sure why, but we did. We got lots of funny looks haha.

We saw Gavin Degraw perform, he was great!

After the show we went to Serendipity. Emily drinking some frozen hot chocolate.

I recently started the Harry Potter series for the first time in my life and I cannot stop reading!

Some delicious Sprinkles cupcakes.

G for Gluten....Free!

The 9/11 Memorial

Some New York greasy pizza.

And Newsies, which was SO amazing! I loved every second of it.

A Sunday in the Park

Early Sunday morning we rode the metro to church. We felt like locals. Not really.

Church was in the same building as the temple. It's crazy you could drive by this temple and not even know it is a temple! After church we went to Central Park for a picnic.

Then off to the MET where we saw some cool things.

The two pregos.

Emily doing the usual, photo bombing.

Emily thinking about Paul and her new baby.

A very fun Sunday. Next up, the Kelly Show, 9/11 Memorial and Newsies!

My Birthday in New York City

This was definitely a birthday to remember! Woke up to a hotel room decorated in balloons and streamers. Thanks Cady! And Cady also brought me a gluten free chocolate cake, mmmm, so good! Later that morning we headed over to the Statue of Liberty and on our way there we saw the new World Trade Center being built.

Waiting to board our boat to see the Lady.

Good bye NYC, but not for long.

Emily holding the Statue of Liberty! Sweet sauce!

 Walking around Ellis Island

We found our Great Great Grandpa's name on the wall

For dinner that night I wanted Sushi. Mmmm, my favorite!

I sure do love my sisters!

After sushi we saw the most amazing play on this planet earth. LION KING! It was seriously sooo good! I literally cried tears in the first scene because it was so magical.

And when I came back to the hotel there were flowers waiting for me from my sweet husband!! I could not have asked for a better birthday!

Up next, church, Central Park and the MET!

New York Sister Trip

My sisters and I have been trying to plan a trip together for quite awhile and we finally actually did it! We had plenty of reasons to celebrate, Morgan and I graduated, Emily and Lauren are pregnant and Cady is awesome. It was such a fun trip! I seriously have the best sisters in the world.  Our first stop once in the big city was Shake Shack. So good!

Then we walked around Time Square where we went to the Disney store.

Morgan says this bear smells good.

And we had a dance party in Forever 21 with some sun glasses on. Definitely got some weird looks.

Next up, my birthday, Statue of Liberty and Lion King!
