Yosemite

On Friday night Nathan and I did the 2.5 hour drive to the cutest bed and breakfast just outside of Yosemite. We met our friends from San Jose, the Kindts, there and it was a blast. The couple that owned the house were the sweetest, and the house itself was gorgeous. We hung out with everyone that night and heard some crazy stories from Joe, the house owner, who was a helicopter pilot and Vietnam who has survived 5 different helicopter crashes, crazy! Breakfast the next morning was delicious!

Our drive into Yosemite was gorgeous! There was a big snow fall the day before so it looked like we had just entered Narnia. The weather that day had a 60% chance of rain/snow and we prayed for good weather, well there ended up being blue skies, prayers answered!

We made a turn and then all of a sudden we saw El Capitan and Half Dome, we ooh'd and ahhh'd.

Life Lately

Life in Sacramento has been great! I haven't blogged in forever so thought I would update this thing. Nathan's AND my car got broken into within three days of each other. That stunk.

We drove to San Jose to see our good friends the Kindts.

We love going on walks here. There are the coolest houses in our neighborhood.

We went to Disneyland with Stefan and his girlfriend Erin, it was magical.

Monterey with the Kindts

Our good friends the Kindts recently moved to San Jose and we decided to go to Monterey together for the long Labor Day weekend. It was so much fun! We absolutely love hanging out with them.

Kampala and Entebbe

On our way back to Kampala there are places along the road where you can pull over and tons and tons of kids will run up to your car selling you meat on a stick, drinks, candy, fruit, etc. It's convenient and fun!

Mustafas brother Blackie used to work at the zoo and he gave us a behind the scenes tour, it was amazing! We got to pet a rhino.

And go into the shoebill cage! In there if the shoebill bows to you, you must bow back. We felt silly bowing to a bird, but it's a lot better than getting pecked at!

And then goodbye to our new friends Mustafa and Blackie. We love them and miss them so much!

This is the end to an amazing trip. I must say that Uganda is the coolest country I have ever travelled to and I can't wait to one day return!
